How I install a shelf

As you can see from the picture below..

I actually do not have enough room to put in more of my collection. So, I decided and went to buy myself a shelf... again.

Anyway, here is a "How I install" a shelf.. and there might be more of "How To's" that will come along the lifeline of SLJ Hobbies. ^_^

anyway, here we go...

This is how the shelf looks like when its not fixed to a wall... *duh* hahah... moving on...

Taking out the brackets.. yes.. these are called brackets.

Aligning the brackets and the screws next to each other. *Just to see... ^_^

Next is to determine the placement of the shelf.

I decided, I will put it on the corner. And give enough space for my Future TV replacement. Samsung OLED is what I am eye-ing for. But not sure if I can get it so soon. But, early planning works wondrous.

here are the tools that we need.

If you are unsure what they are, please refer to the following image:

*Preparing the Drill*
****************

Newspaper required. Im not sure what the contents are or if they are safe to use, thus, the Mosaic effect.

Fold the paper in half, and fold the corners as shown above.

Do it on the other side tooo.....

This is the corner I am placing the shelf.

Stick the News paper onto the

Test the area you want to place the shelf to.

Make sure the bubble is as close to the middle as possible.

Ah... the merchandise..  hahah... The Power Drill!

Theres a handle that you can attach.

And now .. it looks like a gun.

As you can see from here...

Also, make sure you select the "Hammer" option for the drill, as I am drilling into a brick wall. Thus, needs to have it automatically strike the wall.

Choosing the Drill Bit can be a hassle, but, all you need is to find the right size.

You can compare the size as what I have done. This promotes more accuracy. :D

Make sure when you insert the drill bit, go all the way in. In the case if you do not know how to use the power drill. Please seek your elderly, or whom ever knows how to work with a power drill.

All the way in....

When drilling, try to angle the drill abit. This is to ensure that the shelf will have a greater support.

Play around with the drill to make a small hole so that you can run the drill through the wall better.

As you can see, our earlier preparation enables us to be clean all the time. The drilled particles are now collected properly into the newspaper.

Checking the length of the (*To be announced of the name*) using the screwdriver and masking tape.

Put it into the hole and make sure that it has sufficient space.

Align the (*To be announced of the name*) and Knock it in!

To prevent damage, use a cloth or some material over it.

I get too lazy, so I just knock it till I can get it almost there...

and .. its all the way in... with minimal damage hahahah...

All the way...

Get the shelf and screw them up. place it onto the walls, and use the screw and turn the screwdriver and.. Viola.. you have your shelf ready...

Also, check again the level of bubble before you are satisfied ^_^.. Im satisfied already...

Here is what I first placed onto the shelf...
